Newsville newsgroup links can work in two ways: you choose the way you want to read newsgroups by selecting an option at the top of the listing pages.

If you choose to show newsgroups on the web, then you will use Newsville's online news reading and posting facility. To do so, you must have a Newsville account, and must be logged in. If you have an account, you can log in through the Web Login link on the Members menu at the left of each page. If you do not have an account and would like one, you can go to our signup page. The account will be created immediately.

If you choose to use your newsreader, then you must set up your browser to support newsgroups through your news-reading software. Instructions on how to do this can be found in our support pages for a variety of popular news readers. If you are a Newsville subscriber, set your news server to be news.newsville.com. If not, you can use a different news server, but then you can only read or post to newsgroups that are supported by that server. This may not include all of the groups available at Newsville.
