What is CVV2 / CVC2?

The Card Validation Code 2 (CVC2) or Card Verification Value 2  Code (CVV2) provides consumers with added credit card transaction security by requiring additional numbers located on the actual credit card.

The CVC2 / CVV2 code is the three-digit code located after the credit card number on the back signature strip of Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, and a four-digit code on the front of all American Express cards (see example below). Please locate this number and enter it in the CVV2 / CVC2 box.
